A homemaker and companion plays a vital role in providing care and support to individuals who need assistance due to age, illness, or recovery. Here are the key responsibilities and requirements for this role:

Engaging Clients: Conversing with clients and planning appropriate social activities and hobbies for them.

  • Housekeeping: Handling basic housekeeping tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, organizing, and laundry.

  • Meal Preparation: Planning and preparing meals for clients, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.

  • Emotional Support: Taking a genuine interest in clients, ensuring their environment is clean and safe, and providing proper food and medication.

  • Monitoring and Reporting: Keeping track of clients’ well-being, recording any developments or concerns, and reporting them to supervisors, doctors, or family members.

  • Transportation: Driving clients to planned outings or events.

  • Errands: Assisting with errands like grocery shopping, bill payment, and letter writing.

  • Companionship: Providing emotional support as clients heal or cope

This service provides transportation to and from the recipient’s home and community-based waiver services, enabling the recipient to receive the supports and services identified in both the support plan and approved cost plan, when such services cannot be accessed through natural (i.e., unpaid supports).

Hours of Operation

Monday - Friday: 7 am - 6 pm

Saturday - Sunday: 9 am - 5 pm
